If you enjoy working out, reading poetry, and gardening, look for people who enjoy similar activities. These people are your tribe.
Be around people who lift you up.
Finding your tribe gives you a sense of belonging. And surrounding yourself with your people will infuse your life with positivity and support. When you’re working toward a goal, who would you rather have in your corner? Someone who questions your decisions and undermines your efforts? Or someone who will be there to lift you up?
Be yourself while pursuing growth.
People who see you for who you are can push you outside of your comfort zone. And when you surround yourself with the right people, you have the opportunity to become an even better version of yourself. First, you’re able to embrace your current self and share your thoughts and goals without fear of judgment. But at the same time, you also open the door to new learning opportunities that you’ll feel confident pursuing.
Raising your tide creates change. But it will not only create change in your own life. By raising your tide, you’ll also lift the boats around you and inspire others to make changes of their own. A rising tide lifts all boats.
