Rhapsody Fitness in Charleston, SC welcomes Coach Whitney Dunn – graduate of the Rhapsody Coaches Mentorship Program.
A Georgia peach, Whitney grew up with her family in Atlanta complete with two, competitive older brothers. The three started young with sports, which led Whitney to soccer at the YMCA before finding her first athletic love, volleyball, in middle school.
She played volleyball for the College of Charleston while pursuing her degree in Communications. After graduation, pining for a challenge and missing team camaraderie, Whitney walked into a CrossFit gym and never looked back.
She blinked before welcoming her daughter, Murphy. Whitney worked to find her feet as a new mom, while trying to make her way back to fitness, and, ultimately, getting to know herself again. This road eventually led her to Rhapsody Fitness.
Sparks becoming a flame, Whitney decided to take the next step and pursue becoming a coach through the Rhapsody Coaches Mentorship Program. Countless committed hours and hard-earned credentials later, where she leads, we follow.
As a coach, her goal is for each athlete to feel strong and powerful far beyond the hour they spend in class – ready to take on whatever comes at them with confidence.
When Whitney isn’t being an all-out Shebeast, you may find her hanging out downtown with her partner Patrick as the pair try to keep up with their superfly toddler and pup, Sunny.
