Rhapsody Fitness in Charleston welcomes two new coaches to Team Rhapsody who are ready to unlock your fullest potential inside the gym and out.
AARON MITCHELL
COACH | FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Aaron is an innately curious athlete. Having dabbled in an array of sports, he’s always been intrigued by how different activities challenge the body in dynamic ways. When he first set foot in a CrossFit gym at 16-years-old it was love at first lift.
While pursuing higher education at the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!), Aaron indulged his growing cross functional fitness obsession with a new focus on Olympic Weightlifting. He started competing at several local and regional meets excelling through to qualifying for USA Weightlifting at the University Nationals Olympic Weightlifting event in 2020.
Aaron graduated on two fronts earning his degree in English and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer before beginning his budding coaching career at CrossFIt Anistemi in Cleveland, TN. Zero to 60, he became the go-to-guy for everything from mobility to personal training to, spoiler, weightlifting.
Rhapsody Fitness caught his eye as the embodiment of a holistic approach to health and overall wellness. From the moment he stepped into our gym in Charleston, Aaron knew he’d found a thriving community of humble, hungry and happy humans who were eager and willing to do whatever it took to become their best mentally and physically.
All about community, Aaron’s approach with each Rhapsody member is to make sure you feel seen and supported inside and outside our four walls. His intention for every athlete is to get you in the door – once you’ve done that, you’ve made the choice to do the work and he will take it from there.
When Aaron isn’t throwing a barbell about, you may find him deep in conversation about culture, worldviews and innovation over a good cup of coffee or exploring Charleston with his new bride, Alisha.

KERRY KIRSCH
COACH | MEMBER SERVICES
Born and raised in Ebensburg, PA, Kerry was into sports with a special affinity for football and wrestling. All for fun and games, he always had a laser-focus when it came to fitness and training.
When it became time to pursue higher education, Kerry initially started on the fast track to nursing, but soon realized his passion was in a proactive approach to health and the prevention of illness and ailments.
With a slight pivot, Kerry graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 with a BS in Exercise Science and obtained his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer that same year.
When Kerry first set foot inside Rhapsody Fitness, it was like walking into Disney World. From the pristine facility and prime equipment to warm, smiling faces, he knew this was the community he wanted to be a part of to jumpstart his career.
For him, the physical and mental work put into training is meant to prepare you for far more than a workout, but making sure you are simply never down for the count. Kerry is all about getting and keeping you in fighting shape for whatever comes at you inside and outside the four walls of our gym in Charleston.
When Kerry isn’t building sweat equity, you may find him biking or blazing a new trail, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or catching a game. He is all about animals and new to Charleston so bring on the fur children and restaurant recommendations.
